Time Management for Grad Students ($25)
Discover ways to get your course work, research work, special projects, assistantships & your personal life balanced as well as learn to deal with procrastination. This workshop will provide you with tips and ideas to develop a practical schedule. This doesn’t mean you won’t be busy; it means that you will find a better balance in your life.

Creating Effective Conference Posters ($25)
Learn how to present your research information so that it is eye-catching and understandable for readers. This workshop will also focus on the visual aspect as well as the content, data selection, and format of creating posters.

Do you need to sort through a large number of research papers and remember the main focus of each? Do you want to be able to get the main ideas quickly? Learn how to be efficient and effective in your reading so that you get the most out of your research papers.

Remembering More Academic Information ($25)
This workshop will cover the basics of memory and emphasis will be placed on strategies to put information into memory so that it is available when you need it. We will also look at how to reduce forgetting and how to avoid memory overload. Pre-registration is required.

Thesis Management Strategies ($25)
The focus in this workshop is to teach you how to manage a large project such as a thesis or dissertation by looking at all the components required to complete the project and then breaking each down and planning across time to reach target dates. Monitoring the project is key to its successful completion.
Do not take this workshop if you have taken or are taking Thesis Writing Strategies.
