They are non-credit online courses designed to help students develop the skills and aptitudes needed for success at university, with the flexibility of working at your own pace in an online learning environment:
Achieving Academic Success: Focusing on skills and strategies for academic success at university, Achieving Academic Success gives students a comprehensive overview of the skills and strategies required for academic success at university.
Based on current research, the 12 learning modules address time management/scheduling, note-taking, reading, learning, memory, motivation, and exam performance, among other topics, and include detailed explanations, examples, practice exercises, and resources.
T2U: Transition to University: New to U of A? Wonder what the University of Alberta is really like? Worry about getting lost or where to meet new people? How to study or deal with the stress of exams? Get the inside scoop before you get to campus! T2U gives you the tools you need to succeed! This online course prepares you for first-year university by covering all the basics of academic life and campus culture at the U of A.
Our online courses are housed on eClass, the U of A's online learning system. They can be taken individually or combined with our other services.
